The Coordination team of the ROAMER initiative aims at boosting the efficiency of the project being in charge of smoothing the flow of the project, making decisions and ensuring the highest standard in both organisational and financial terms.

Dr. Josep Maria Haro - Coordinator
Dr Josep Maria Haro is the coordinator of the ROAMER initiative, with aim at boosting the efficiency of the project. He is in charge of smoothing the flow of the project, making decisions and ensuring the highest standard in both organisational and financial terms.
Josep Maria Haro is psychiatrist and Ph.D. in Public Health. He obtained the Master in Public Health at the John Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health (Baltimore, MD, USA). Dr. Haro is the principal investigator of one of the member groups comprising the CIBERSAM network and the director of the Research and Development Unit of the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu. He is also an active member of several scientific and professional organizations, such as the Spanish Public Health Society and the PSICOST group, being one of the founding members of the latter which is specialized in research in mental health care costs.
During the past fifteen years, Dr. Haro has worked both in clinical medicine and in public health research and has published more than one hundred scientific papers, mainly in the fields of epidemiology of mental disorders and schizophrenia. Before his actual coordinating role in the ROAMER project, he has coordinated several general population surveys in multinational studies, such as the Spanish Survey of MHEDEA-ESEMED and the WHO World Mental Health surveys initiative.
Dr. Carla Obradors - Project Manager
Dr Carla Obradors is the Project Manager of ROAMER. She manages the day-to-day activities of the consortium, ensuring that all reporting and legal requirements are met, and leads the Project Team by actively working to facilitate and safeguard the implementation of the common methodology and to enhance the promotion and dissemination of the ROAMER.
Carla is biotechnologist and Ph.D. She has been working in research since 2004, mainly in the field of Neurosciences, and has participated in numerous scientific communication initiatives at the national level. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Research and Development Unit of the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, led by Dr. Josep Maria Haro, which is one of the member groups comprising the CIBERSAM network.
