The figure below presents a schematic overview of ROAMER management structure.
Overview of ROAMER Management Structure
Project coordinator
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks: 1) administering the financial contribution regarding its allocation between beneficiaries and activities, 2) keeping the records and financial accounts, 3) informing the Commission about the distribution of the financial contribution, 4) reviewing reports, 5) monitoring the compliance by beneficiaries with their obligations according to the Grant Agreement.
Executive Board
The Executive Board is the highest decision-making body in ROAMER, which consists of one representative per project partner and the WP leaders. The EB is chaired by Prof. Josep Maria Haro, whereas Prof. Jim van Os acts as vice-chair.
Project Office and Project Manager
The Project Office is the central management office. The Project Manager is responsible for administrative, legal and financial issues concerning the whole project. The financial controller assists the Project Manager in monitoring the budget and financial reporting to the EC.
Work package teams
Work package teams are responsible for and effective and efficient implementation of the work associated with a specific work package. The WP teams consist of the Work Package Leader, leading investigators of the consortium partners who are active in that work package, and expert scientists in the area.
Participants
The creation of the roadmap requires a wide participation of researchers, therefore WP3 to WP7 will organise workgroups, which will include relevant scientists in the knowledge area of the WPs.
Government and Funding Institutions Council
A Government and Funding Institutions Council will assess the participation of government, policy makers and funding institutions, having direct contact with the EB. Therefore the council is of great relevance in order to facilitate the implementation of roadmap results.
Advisory Boards
ROAMER will seek regular advice through the EB from eminent scientists assembled in the Scientific Advisory Board and stakeholders in the Stakeholder Advisory Board. The Advisory Boards provide expert advice on the content of proposals, quality of the deliverables, ethical issues, general philosophy and direction of the project.
